Easter & Other Things

Hi everyone!

We have had a couple of fun filled weeks haha.  Chris is in his last 2 week of school!!!  It's hard to believe that he is almost done.  Our whole marriage he has been in school.  We are both so excited for a new chapter of life!

For Easter weekend we headed up to Kanab.
While we were there we did.....

Shooting

(Apparently I shoot with my eyes shut...every picture my mom took I have my eyes shut!....OOPS!)

Eating....Lots of Eating!

Decorated Easter Eggs

Of course Chris had the most detailed egg!

Out of everyone though Papa Dave spent the most time on his.  He is the artist in the family.

Josh bet my dad that he couldn't crack an egg....well he lost the bet a couple of times.

More Eating

Celebrated Chris' birthday.
The big 25

Moegly always likes to sing along

The week before Neil took us out to dinner to celebrate Chris' birthday.  He chose Firebirds.

Neil also took everyone to a baseball game while he was in town.

Well that's all for now.  Have a great weekend!

What?! Two posts in a week!

Hey there,
Happy Tuesday!

Life is funny and Saturday was one of those days.  Chris and I have only had about two major "big" fights.  Our biggest "best" fight is the infamous turkey burger fiasco.  That will go down in history as the most ridiculous fight we have ever had.  I take full credit for that fight.  I was so mad about Chris wanting an extra turkey burger that I went ballistic.  That was the first time I had ever left the house.  I got about a mile away and then turned around.  By the end neither of us knew what we were fighting about.  Isn't that how it always is?  Well Saturday was not a major "big" fight day but we did have a fight.

Saturday afternoon Chris and I decided to head to the Phoenix Open.  Chris had gotten tickets from work and wanted to take me.  I thought, "great"!  I had never been to a golf tournament, it sounded fun.
Well as usual when you go to something busy and big you can never find a place to park.  After driving around for a good thirty mins we finally found a place to park.  Of course it was a parallel parking spot near a curb so Chris asked me to get out of the car and help him park.  I agreed and got out of the car.  Well after telling Chris that he wasn't close enough to the curb we both started to get agitated with each other.  Not because either had done anything wrong but because of the traffic and so on.  We finally parked the car and as we walked to the golf tournament neither of us were talking to each other.  We were almost there and a lady tells me that I can't bring my purse into the tournament because it's too big.  That was the last straw....not only was I mad, tired, pms-ing, but I also had to pee.  I told Chris to just forget it and that we should leave.  Chris agreed (i could tell he was sad because his shoulders drooped).  We got back to the car and found me a bathroom at a local McDonald's.  I started crying (of course) got out of the car and went inside to McDonald's.  Since i'm hormonal at that point  once I got out of the bathroom I all of a sudden felt much better and convinced Chris to go back to the golf tournament.
After an hour and a half we finally entered the golf tournament and had a great time :).....what a crazy day haha.

Hugs & Kisses,

A Post?

I never know what to write on here.  I always wish I could be like one of those amazing bloggers that shares their wisdom and makes you feel better just by reading it.  I wish I could be one of the crafty bloggers that make their own clothes, shoes, and food.  I wish I could be one of those amazing teachers that blogs all their great ideas (that they come up with on their own).  Instead I am the blogger that reads all the other blogs.  I read the wisdom blog and am the one that feels better by reading it.  I am the blogger that reads the craft blog and then makes the craft.  I am also the teacher that looks at the blogs and copies the lesson plans :)  I guess thats ok to be one of those bloggers.  I mean, out of all the blogs in the world how many do we actually hear about that become popular?  Just a handful.
I guess the really important part is the journaling for future generations...right? I just always think that for someone else to read it I have to do something great or say something wonderful. Really it shouldn't matter what others think.

So... It's just me Kaylie.  Life has been busy as usual.  We are into a pretty good routine here at the Gardner home.  Wake up, work, work out, eat, tv, go to sleep :)  We are real interesting haha.  I'm grateful for the routine though.  It means that we are safe, secure and happy.  I like feeling safe... don't you?  Plus i'm not a good one at change.

Here are to the secure days :)
